Badlands National Park

Badlands National Park is located in the South West part of South Dakota. The park is home to a large variety of wildlife and some incredible rock formations.

The park has camping available and a few fairly easy trails. The main way to enjoy the park is by driving its main loop and pulling off at its many scenic views.

Beautiful, but Not a Ton to Do

The Badlands are absolutely remarkable with their rare rock formations and bold wildlife. The hikes were enjoyable and the views were incredible.

I was a bit disappointed by how little there was to do. Within 2 days, we had seen every overlook and gone on every hike.

We were also surprised by how unkept the bathrooms were at the campsite. Definitely one of the less up-kept National Parks we have visited.
